Access Log Manager
Find out more on the Access Log Manager and the data that may be within it.
An access log is a complete list of all the files that were accessed by the guests of a certain Internet site. Any file which was requested in some way will be listed, so if you have a single webpage with three embedded pictures, one video and one embedded text file, as an example, the access log shall contain a total of six entries - one for every of the 6 files which were accessed when the site visitor opened the page. A log normally offers the file name and path, the date, plus the visitor’s OS, web browser and IP address. Occasionally you may also find the referrer websites that sent the visitors to your website. The data an access log file provides is in human-readable plain text format. It may be processed by special software on a personal computer and used to write reports on the efficiency of a website, in addition to the web stats that your web hosting server may have generated.

Access Log Manager in Web Hosting
Our custom Hepsia Control Panel features a section dedicated to various logs and the access logs are one of them. Once you sign in to your
web hosting account and navigate to this section, you'll find a list of all the
domain names and subdomains you have. All it takes to permit the generation of access logs is to click on a button which will be available next to every single domain/subdomain. If the option is active, you'll see a download link together with the file size so far, so you'll be able to save the file to your computer and examine it or process it with some program. Enabling or disabling the logs takes effect instantly, so if you no longer need one, you'll be able to stop it with simply a click from the same exact section of the CP. You'll still have the ability to access the already created content by simply clicking the Download link.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers
Our advanced website hosting platform shall create access logs for each website hosted within a
semi-dedicated server account, assuming that this function is permitted. All domain names and subdomains that you have will be listed in the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia CP, that we provide with all the accounts, so if you want our system to start creating logs for any of them, you should just click on the compact button on the right side of the respective domain/subdomain and switch the default Off option to On. You may stop this feature anytime by following the very same steps. You'll find a Download link for each log within the same exact section of the Control Panel, so you may save the content gathered by our system in .txt format with simply a mouse click. An existing log file can be downloaded even after the function has been deactivated, so you will still be able to check out the data that has already been generated.
